• Female hormones - Estrogen and other female hormones play an important role in the development of cellulite. This is also the reason why it is more common in women and very rarely in men.
Pregnancy and menopause, with their related hormonal changes, increase the risk of triggering cellulite.
A hormonal imbalance can also be caused by contraceptives, which favors the appearance and / or aggravation of cellulite.
• Unhealthy eating habits - A diet rich in carbohydrates, fats and salt contributes to cellulite. Poor nutrition also leads to an accumulation of toxins in the body.
• An unhealthy lifestyle - Our daily habits can be the cause of many health problems, and cellulite is no exception. Smokers or those who lead a sedentary lifestyle have an increased risk of developing cellulite.
• Obesity - Excess weight can contribute to cellulite, although it is not a rule, as many thin people face this problem. However, the extra kilograms aggravate the appearance of the existing cellulite.
• Skin elasticity - The degree of skin elasticity decreases with age which increases the likelihood of cellulite. Even sudden weight loss can accentuate the appearance of cellulite due to decreased skin elasticity.
• Accumulation of toxins in the body - Stagnation of toxins in adipose tissue and difficulty in eliminating them is another cause that causes cellulite.
• Clothes that are too tight - Tight jeans, tights and tight-fitting underwear make blood circulation difficult, which favors the appearance of cellulite.
